GOLD is a tisane blend of dried turmeric, ginger, and licorice roots with a smaller measure of lemongrass. Each component is sourced from farming cooperatives practicing clean agriculture that produce healthy, richly flavored crop (M.O. for all Hugo imports).

Designed as a cold-weather tonic with smoothly piquant character, GOLD is blended at a precise ratio that centers on our first-ever turmeric. GOLD is not excessively bright or peppery; the aim through many early iterations was to produce a deeply spiced tisane blend with enough viscosity (via licorice) to tame the sharp edges and achieve a soft, warming finish that lingers pleasantly.

The newest non-tea blend produces a heady liquor with coating mouthfeel and exhilarating tasting notes. Experiment freely with the recommended steeping parameters; GOLD rewards the adventurous with layered nuance, and is easily adjusted to suit any palate.
