Kawa Yacu "Our Coffee"

The Women's Coffee Extension (WCE) is an all women coffee cooperative founded in 2017 by Aline Christine and Odette Uwamariya. These women started the WCE to have a stronger voice in coffee production in Rwanda.

The WCE focuses their efforts on educating and empowering their female coffee producer members by offering services and resources such as nutritional programs, agricultural practices and family planning. These resources impact the members of the cooperative by encouraging young women to be involved in producing coffee.
